What does it mean? It's a wedding cake in France - a tower of profiteroles, set with caramel. It seemed a good idea in 1978, when we opened our restaurant.

DELIVERY
COLLECTION

If you can collect, that saves special packaging, paperwork and time! So we discount £5 per full case you collect. We are not a shop, so arrange a mutually suitable time. We're flexible.

Delivery is free locally, by me, for one mixed case or more. Elsewhere, mainland England and Wales, delivery is a single charge of £5.00 per order, NOT per case. Must surcharge beyond. See right.

We despatch by Business Post, for next day delivery. Best Tuesday - Friday delivery, so the wine doesn’t hang around in a warehouse over the weekend. But can do Monday delivery. Time can’t be specified. Saturday is not possible. Sorry! I track your consignment on the Business Post website. Each box is tracked exactly by time and the personnel who handled it. If there’s a problem ring me, or I shall assume all is well. London has its own rules. Regret only 98% certainty on next day London delivery. Business Post are not perfect, but the best we know. Last year they only broke one bottle!

What we need, with the address is importantly the postcode, the telephone number, any special instructions if you’re difficult to find (don’t give the delivery guys any excuse for not locating you), or if a neighbour will take delivery. But generally, someone must sign! I can however ask that the wine be left in say, a porch or garage, without signature. But the risk once it's there, is yours.

SURCHARGES

Sorry, but surcharges apply for deliveries beyond the norm. I'll quote for each specific order, but as a guide...

Scotland - the price seems a bit unfair! But for the Lowlands, it is £5 extra on the first case, plus £5 additional per case. For the Highlands, Northern Ireland, and the Channel Islands, Royal Mail is the economic option - with some super-duper packaging and insurance! But each case is an £18.00 charge!

Mainland Europe, plus Ireland and Sweden, is about £30 for a case and £12 for extra cases. The rest of the World is OK too - at a price! - except the USA. The US authorities make it so difficult, that a specialist UK forwarding agent is needed. Volume buyers only.

Export out of the EU within 90 days, or EU trade, and we can deduct the VAT, on proof of export. I pack most carefully but cannot insure export orders. 100% secure polystyrene tube packaging is available at cost: about 80p per bottle.
